One got sued many years ago, and they lost a lot of money. They deserve it.
Guess it depends on 1) yourself and how you do the job, 2) if you are truly competent at what you are doing and 3) if you actually fulfill that job in a manner which is of financial benefit to the company...plus within the guidelines of company policy.

When I was an employee (before I became the employer) I was constantly given raises and promoted by "men." I also worked several times for "women" in position above me and found only one of those who was truly capable of handling the job and employees under her. The rest were totally self-serving ******* who were not capable of handling authority.

I have also worked with uncountable numbers of women since those years on many levels and found that those who ***** about not having equal pay, authority or (in the case of organizations/committees, etc.) are of the 99.9% of those that are basically not qualified.

Government...stay out of it. I don't know of one Federal Government interference that has been a plus that has been promoted as "general welfare" when it is really "pick and choose." The Constitution restricts the Federal Government to a very few areas of authority. The General Welfare address has been misused blatantly. General Welfare means it must include "ALL" segments of our people...not one segment here and another there. No, no no! Unless any Federal Government "so-called oversight, for lack of better words" applies to "ALL" of us it is against the constitution. Those segments that Federal Government has usurped are under the authority of individual States...NOT FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!

More employers should accomodate PARENTS like that. See, MEN are parents, too....Romney showed his sexism by thinking ONLY women need flexible schedules....PEOPLE, HUMANS need flexible schedules.

Wasn't that a part of a story Romney told about how his females employees had asked him for special accommodations in the past?

But you don't think Obama would lose female voters be characterizing them as if they are all a bunch of sex toys that need free birth control pills, free condoms etc... in order to function from one day to the next?

If that were truly the case, then you have just proven how out-of-touch to BO-voting women are. They would be voting without any understanding of the responsibility needed to vote. Instead they would be voting for someone who consistently trashes the Constitution (primary document by which our elected official "MUST" adhere first and foremost), for someone who has absolutely no understanding of the American free and private business-based economy without which we fold into the mess we are in today and someone who has no concept of the fact that those actually earning $'s/creating business/hiring employees/establishing a solid American economy should never be told from the Federal level "you have to give up your profits and give it to someone else who does not contribute their work and effort." We are voting to put an intelligent person in the White House that understands all that, makes our America once again the greatest land in the history of mankind and does not tear down the fabric that BO has with his socialist heading toward communistic foolishness.

I hope you are wrong and that the majority of the women of America have better sense and understanding of upon what their vote must be based. It is not "what do I get out of it."

What's wrong with trying to say woman are the ONLY parent's that need special accomodations?

A lot!

Romney NEVER mentioned MEN in that condescending drool on women who work.

He attempted to show that ONLY women and ALL women need "special help" with work hours.

Sexist and innaccurate.

ROFL. I can picture all the women at the DMV leaving early to pick up McDonalds for the family dinner.
If he were to do that he only has the power to do that for government workers.

What woman in her right mind would NOT leave early ?

It was expected that they perform these duties and the law looked the other way when they were abused for not following their husband's orders.

Your father was the anomaly; not the rule.
That's crap. Abuse and male domination are of the very small percentage...not the majority. I have never understood why in the world we have passed laws to bail out a tiny percentage of those affected by a problem and in the end screw up the other 99% that don't have the problem.

Just that foolishness over the past years, especially since the mess of the 60's has caused unbelievable damage to our American way of life.

There certainly are men who are working single parents and need flexible schedules. BUT, if you remember, the question was by a woman and asked about womens pay. The question had nothing to do with men.

So Romney's response to women's pay is to let them go home early to cook for their kids?

What's Ryan's plan? Tax credits for makeup and shoes?
