Last night was more of a draw. Obama obviously did really poorly in the first debate. Last night it was more even; I wouldn't call it a win for Obama. Romney made some great points about what Obama has failed to do in the last four years. He's had four years and things have steadily gotten worse. Why go down the same path for four more years?

Because they simply don't have it in them. You will never hear one of them admit they were wrong OR admit that their candidate wasn't the winner ~ at least not on this forum.

three reasons.

1. Because Mitt was essentially the same guy as in the first debate. He did the job he needed to do to look presidential and he did nothing to loose.

2. Because Mitt delivered a blistering mid debate outline of the Obama record. no matter how you cut it, that alone scored serious points.

3. Mr Obama pretty much lied his butt of realated to both the oil permits and the Lybia thing.

Now on points did one or the other get an edge? I think most would say Obama came of with a slight edge. However He didnt bring Romney down. and Romney didnt bring Romney down.

For debates to matter one guy has to come accross as a bonifide loser. Obama did that in the first debate. Neither did that in the second debate.

Especially when it's not true. Obama held his own last night; he didn't win.

This CNN poll http://www.cnn.com/POLITICS/pollingcenter/polls/3238 shows 67% thought Romney won and 25% thought Obama won. And of those polled, 37% were Democratic and 33% were Republican. So what does that tell you?

Because Romney did not lose. He did a great job providing substance and looking like a leader.

Obama, as usual, provided no substance. The only reason Obama appears to have done well is because he bombed so badly during the first debate.

Obama needed to win this debate with flying colors and it simply did not happen. I know it, lefties know it, and when you out your kool aide down, you know it too!

Both sides do the same thing....Obama supporters made excuses for 2 weeks...now it's Rs turn.

As I said before...we're a country of more than 300 million people. Pretty sad that the choice comes down to these two. Trey and Matt were right...

I watched it as an outsider that isn't going to vote for either one of them. I don't think either candidate hurt themselves last night. Romney did about as well as he did in the first debate. The difference is that Obama did WAY better the second time around. In that sense, he comes off as a big winner. A disasterous performance would have sunk his ship. But, he did really well. As for having to have a winner/loser - I don't think it applies to a debate where both candidates did what they had to (like the Biden/Ryan one). Those, who already made up their mind on which candidate they liked, thought their guy did the best. The only way one can "lose" a debate is if they show up like Obama did on the first one.
