He chose Utah in 1999-2000 to get a tax break claiming it was his primary residence. It wasn't until he wasn't going to qualify to run for Governor that he retroactively changed his status & paid the back taxes. He chose MA as his 'home' (his son's address) so he could vote in the special election. He didn't own a home in MA after he left as Gov...he maintained homes in NH and CA. He was barely even in Massachusetts his last year as our Governor, I believe he spent over 210 days out of the state in 2006....he was running around the country trying to start his national political career. He forgot he already had a job as our Governor.

If you want to know why he doesn't contest, the bolded explains it. "How dare he leave the most important state in the nation to run for nationwide office! He's lucky we voted for him."

Not sure how you got the above statement out of what I said, but anyway, perhaps he should have finished one job before moving on to the next one. He was still our Governor. Regardless of whether or not he planned to run for re-election he should have finished the job he was elected to do or stepped down and moved on to start his Presidential bid.

John Kerry received the same criticism when he was running for President and refused to give up his senate seat.

I was born in Mass, my family is from there. I've lived in or next door to Mass. my whole life and I know many, many current and former Mass. residents.

I can't find a single one with a good word to say about Romney as a Governor.

That tells you a lot.

Basically.

He wasn't right for Massachusetts.

He's not right for America.

Again- your contention is absurd, as Massachusetts is liberal land. Bin Laden was not the right man for Prime Minister of Israel either.

Liberal states OCCASIONALLY will have a republican governor (California), but they almost NEVER vote for a republican president.

Do you think that California might go to Romney?

This thread shows that the libs are starting to squirm, as they realize that Obama has already lost. It was going to happen, as he has failed the economy. Anyone with any common sense could have fortold the outcome of this election.

You guys are starting to sound like a washed up, 47-year old spinster just squeezing away at those sour grapes.

bajan....

Do you think Chris Christie would carry NJ?

Christie has pretty solid approval numbers and fairly low disapproval numbers (30's I think). Now, NJ is typically a fairly safe bet for liberals. So Would Christie's record carry NJ in a presidential election?

Just an fyi. If the answer is anything but a categorically solid, YES, your entire thread is a joke.

I think so. He's a very popular governor whereas Mitt Romney was a deeply unpopular governor who watched 46 other governors run circles around him during his 4 years in office.
