MA is bluest in the Boston area because that's where most of the minorities and the liberal academic types live. But the further one gets from Boston, the less blue it is.

And again, MA isn't blue. It's really more of an independent stronghold. Close to 50% of all registered voters are not affiliated with either the dems or the republicans. Only about 38% are registered dems.

Duh.
Nonetheless, Massachusetts is essentially (with a few notable exceptions) simply a "knee-jerk" liberal state. I would think that if Jesus Christ was running as a republican, he would not be able to win Massachusetts.

Again, why is Obama not campaigning hard in Alabama? How about Nebraska?

"Duh"!

I would bet that the KKK would have a hard time recruiting in Harlem; likewise the nation of Islam may find it hard to recruit in rural Iowa or Nebraska.

"Duh"!

You would have an extremely valid point....

If Obama were from Alabama...

Had been governor of the state for 4 years...

And bragged about his successes there...

And what does his polling in the national election have to do with his 30 percent job approval rating as Governor??? The lowest for any governor in Massachusetts history, lower than any of the three preceding Republican governors, and lower than George W. Bush's job approval rating when he left office.

It's very simple. If you did good work at a job, then you would get strong performance evaluations, and your former employer will gladly recommend you to potential future employers.

Mitt Romney had a job. He was Governor of Massachusetts. He did a lousy job and got a poor performance evaluation. Now Massachusetts is telling the rest of America not to hire him.

What does that have to do with a job approval rating, genius?

Mass elected Romney in the first place. They didn't elect him just so they could turn around and give him a 70 percent disapproval rating.

Especially considering that the three Republican mayors before him did not have 70 percent disapproval ratings.
