So to win, Obama needs to carry as many Democrats as possible and get them to the polls, then snatch enough Independents to put him over the top - a number that does not have to be more than half since there are more Democrats to begin with. That's it. It looks like he's pulling it off in enough states to win, albeit by narrow margins.

I do think this will boil down to turnout however. So the fabled Democratic ground game has to come through big time in the swing states to make the polls happen methinks. Odds are he'll pull it off.
Or just turnout more Dems period. The demographic tide is changing in America. The Republican party can't bank on the David Duke/Jesse Helms/Strom Thurmond vote forever.

Then again, if you live on a mountain in Arkansas, you probably don't realize that a demographic shift is occurring. The Stars and Bars of the Confederacy are probably as prominent as ever.

It's like the guy in "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka!" who hadn't stepped foot in the real world since the 70s and didn't realize afros and bellbottoms were passe.

So you are saying that there is at least one person in Nevada that will be voting for Romney? O.K., way to debate.

We won't see Nevada Red again for Decades. It will take the GOP at least that amout of time to rebrand themselves.

While Nevada’s non-Hispanic white population grew by 12 percent from 2000 to 2010, African-Americans grew by 58 percent, Asians by 116 percent and Hispanics by 82 percent.

Non-hispanic whites make up just 54% of the population now. 67% percent of the State vote comes from the Las Vegas area.

Minority population growth is going to continue to outpace white growth. GOP is done. Scapegoating minorities and immigrants just is not going to work there.

Sharon Angle was their last dying hope.

Look at who Harry ran against - Sharron Angle Not much of a contest there, but still
51% of Nevadans disapprove of Reid's performance.

NV is one state where votes that might have gone for Obama,
went to Libertarian/Gary Johnson.

"As of Thursday, more than 578,000 Nevadans had voted early or cast absentee ballots for a 46 percent turnout.
Of those, about 44 percent were Democrats and 38 percent Republicans."

I'm sure that demographic has changed - the housing boom is over, a lot of folks went back
to southern CA, Washington, etc...The Asian population is more stable though than black or Hispanic
in the future of NV.

I don't know, 2011 figures show non-hispanic whites at 53.6%.

Romney hasn't conceded anything.

Another lie from an Obama sycophant. They can't help but lie as they see their boss going down to defeat. Poor things.
