Nate Silver's response to the poll haters:

Quote:
This critique fails, however, since the simplest analysis of the polls would argue that Mr. Obama is winning. He’s been ahead in the vast majority of polls in Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, and all the other states where the Democrat normally wins. These states add up to more than 270 electoral votes. It isn’t complicated. To argue that Mr. Romney is ahead, or that the election is a “tossup,” requires that you disbelieve the polls, or that you engage in some complicated interpretation of them. The FiveThirtyEight model represents a complicated analysis of the polls, but simplicity is on its side, in this case.

Want to see another interesting take on the two candidates? : First, make a "truthfulness" poll/score from Politicfact, using the following methodology: +2 points for a "True", +1 points for a "Mostly True", 0 points for a "Half True", -1 points for "Mostly False", -2 points for a "False", and -3 points for a "Pants on Fire" rating.

Using the above methodology, you come up with the a truthfulness Poll/Score for the two candidates that follows:
+115 Obama
-62 Romney

I've always believed in honesty and honor above most things, and while I know every politician lies, that says a world to me on how they treat the American public.

On that note, should we make a "Politifact Truthfulness Poll/Score" thread to compare other candidates? I'll think on it.

Your callous response to the destruction that dem policies have caused is astounding. You ought to be ashamed.

LOL. You still haven't told me how Dodd-Frank strangles "small town bankers." "Regulation" is not an adequate response.
