That's because it was bullsh*t all along and was merely meant to "encourage the troops". Now that "Judgement Day" is approaching, he needs to gradually change his tune so that come election day - when Romney loses, Morris won't look like either a total idiot or lying weasel (or at least Morris is HOPING he can fool folks into thinking that somehow the situation just magically changed for the worse at the last minute).

Yep. They're all gearing up for an Obama win. This was leaked (purposely) just as the same type of article was leaked about Palin right before McCain lost. These things are an attempt to save face for all concerned.

True! The Repubs are just going thru their "puffing Peacock" phase. Putting up a phony display of confidence. They know what's going to happen and Ryan is trying to figure out his after election options. Write a book and hope he hasn't destroyed his future chances? Who knows, some of his supporters think even if he wins his House seat, maybe he should resign and teach or something. Kind of control his exposure some til 2016.

Saturday polls so far
NBC/WSJ/Marist Ohio: Obama 51 Romney 45 previous: Same
NBC/WSJ/Marist Florida: Obama 49 Romney 47 previous Obama 48 Romney 47
TBT/Herald/Mason-Dixon Florida: Romney 51 Obama 45 previous Romney 51 Obama 44

Romney will win Florida. He's at 50 in 6 of the last 10 polls published, and is outside the MOE in 2 of those 10, while Obama is only leading in 3 of the 10, none being outside the MOE.

Similar situation in Ohio, Obama will win it. 50 in 6 of the last 10 polls, and is outside the MOE in 4 of those 10, while Romney is tied in one poll, and leading one other, none being outside the MOE.

This is why you see Romney running to PA, he already knows he will lose Ohio and needs to knock off one of those states (Mich/PA) to have any chance. Similarly, Obama has just 1 campaign appearance in Florida, compared to multiple visits in Wisconsin, Iowa, Ohio, etc. Except Obama doesn't need Florida.
