However, Americans should inform themselves of the exclusionary tenets of this religion. It will be a sad day if America doesn't see how smarmy Romney is, and he would be smarmy regardless of his religious affiliation.
I don't vote party lines. I vote for the person and the context. I thought Clinton was effective, and lucky to be in office in that part of the business cycle, but felt he was smarmy from Day One. And I was right.
I think he shouldn't necessarily attack him, however make it clearly known that Willard is a mormon. He keeps it on the DL for good reason. I think if many of the american people knew he was a mormon, that would have a strong negative impact against him.

This sums up how I feel.
But, Team Obama, nor a Democratic Super PAC, will touch it, in an ad.
Perhaps, it's a double edged sword, since it shows, how Democrats, are a lot classier, than Republicans have been the last 20 years.

Why should Obama make it clearly known that Romney is a Mormon?
When Romney brought up his Mormon faith himself in his closing remarks at the second debate.
Over 65 million Americans were watching.
Have you seen which direction the polls are going?
And how should Obama make it clearly known that Romney is a Mormon?
In a speech? "I'm Barack Obama, and I just wanted you all to know that Romney is a Mormon. Not that there's anything wrong with that - I just thought I'd mention it."

You mean, like the GOP Thugs that did "surveys" and ask questions to callers like "If (democratic opponent) was possibly a sexual offender in his college days, would you still vote for him?".
Furthermore, Romney, just mentioned, his faith, he did NOT say, his Mormon faith.
Fail.

Do you really think that there are voters out there that don't know he's a Mormon?
And if so, and they just found out his secret, that they would change their vote?
You seem like someone who would be okay with this situation then:
If Obama was the Mormon and Romney was the non Mormon, once would have to live under a rock to not know what team Rove, the Super PACS and Fox News would do.
Please do not presume to know what I would be alright with.
That is insulting.
I was being facetious.
Doing such a thing as making an issue about someone's religion is a huge turn off. I don't care what their religion is - Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Wiccan - or even if they are an atheist.
Of course there are going to be nutballs on both sides of the aisle that make an issue out of someone being either religious or non-religious. The vast majority of people DO NOT CARE.
Harry Reid is a Mormon. It's not something that Rove attacks him for. It's true that Reid is a nimrod, and deserves criticism. But, no one attacks his faith.
Well, Democrats are the ones who are looking down on Mormons.
It's OK if Harry Reid is a Mormon.
It's not OK if Romney is a Mormon.
Funny how it always works that way with Democrats.
One poster is not "Democrats". When Romney was talking about runnng in the 2008 primaries, my non-practicing Mormon niece was shocked at the anti-Mormon sentiment being expressed in Pennsylvania, where she had just moved. The Repubs did not want him to run b/c he is a Mormon.

What a strange response to a HYPOTHETICAL situation.

A politition's religion or lack thereof, is of no interest to me unless the politition makes it an issue.
The "Nones" as my pastor calls them.
