How can this be? Obama "saved" the auto industry!

Quote:
"Mitt Romney has successfully led both public and private sector turnarounds. He is a bright and successful man; he is a good man, a caring man, a man of integrity, family and faith. Importantly, he recognizes we are in a tough situation," Iacocca said in a statement released by his office.

"With dozens of years of real world experience in the public and private sectors, he knows what he's talking about. His policies will enable a stronger America, one in which all Americans can share. He was groomed and trained for this moment. The future of our country is at stake."

An 88 year old man making an endorsement. That's nice. He's been away from business so long, I doubt he could dial a telephone in a modern office today. But, yes ... it is a strong, good endorsement from a man who's crossed both sides of the aisle in Presidential races. I've always liked him. Even now.

If the MSM reported the TRUTH about GM/Chrysler, obama would be done.

It's not surprising so many successful icons of the business world support Romney as opposed to the anti-business obama.

They are just waiting until obama is out before they start spending some of the trillions they're sitting on.

So you're saying that they are holding up the economy out of spite for the president? And why should we vote for big business again?

I would have to agree with Iacocca. He DID save Chrysler, after all.

More accurately, they are waiting for a more favorable political climate in which to start investing into their business again. At this point, Obama has made it clear that he is against big business, which makes investors, stockholders, and CEOs leary of trying to grow their businesses.

Why should the opinion of an 88 year old man in the top income group have any bearing on other people's votes? He has his opinion; I have mine.

First, heads that hurt their own businesses in order to damage the president are violating their fiduciary responsibilities to the firm.

Second, apart from what you say, businesses ARE investing under Obama.

and business activity is up under Obama.
