Not according to your OP. That company began receiving TAX PAYERS FUNDS in 2008.

[quote=blackandproud;26582476]I can read perfectly well, can you? The $20 milliion were dispersed in 2008 pre-Obama.[quote]

Correct...from where? The State of Michigan (which has nothing to do with this topic).

Unless you're aware of something different, Obama did not take office until 2009.

And the ARTICLE says that ANOTHER $100 Million was given to them the LAST FEW YEARS.

1012-3= 2009

And YET they originally recieved funds in 2008. And YET the Green Program received Bi-partisan support. And YET Republicans fought for and received funds for their states and dispersed those same funds to these same Green companies to create Jobs.

Bi-Partisan support = Republican and Democrats.

Mascoma Corp., a New Hampshire-based business, was awarded a grant of $20 million from the state of Michigan as part of the Centers of Energy Excellence program in 2008 and amounts totaling up to $100 million from the federal government over the last few years to build a plant in Kinross, a small town in the Upper Peninsula.

That's $120 Million TOTAL.

$20 Million in 2008 from Michigan (irrelevant since it's not Federal money)

$100 Million in the last few years.

The "last few years" would mean no more than 3 years.

2012 - 3 = 2009

Obama took office in 2009 so it's HIS administration that gave them $100 Million

Does the link say that Republicans or a bi-partisan effort lead to them getting $100 Million since 2009?

No.

In FACT it says the OPPOSITE:

Quote:
"Taking money from our existing businesses and citizens and gambling it via corporate welfare schemes is just a bad idea," said Michigan State Rep. Tom McMillin, R-Rochester Hills. "You'd think, intuitively, that a company that says they need a government handout in order to make a go of it is pretty suspicious anyway.

"Our state government needs to continue its focus on creating a better environment for all job providers by knocking down barriers that have been erected by the previous governor and legislatures."

again, where did Michigan get the funds to provide to the company? Maybe you need to do a bit more research and get out of your partisan mindset. Bottom line, these Green Energy companies and the use of Tax Payers funds received BI-PARTISAN support. The fact that you blame Obama, meanwhile giving those Republicans a pass that asked for the funds again show your blind partisan and hypocrisy.

The Michigan money isn't even relevant to this topic.

It's the $100 Million of FEDERAL taxpayer's money (borrowed from China of course) that they got after Obama was elected that is relevant at all to this discussion.

Funny that you believe that none of the companies that recieved Federal Funding had the support and was requested by a Republican.

Again I ask, where did the first $20 million come from IF not from the FEDERAL Government? And again, as I stated, apparently you did not research all of those companies too well, because if you did you would find the funds were received and dispersed by the Republican Politician that requested them.

And by the way, I would much rather borrow money (IF WE HAVE TOO) to move this country forward NOT for the BS wars and to arm countries that should be handling their own business.
