I agree with previous posters that Gore will not run. He's enjoying his rock star status and he can do more good promoting environmental issues.

Maybe to the detriment of the radical islamics but not to this country or the rest of the world. If he had been in office I shudder to think of the number of attacks we might have suffered here at home. As much as I dislike much of what Bush has done I personally feel that Gore lacks what it takes to be a strong leader and to keep us safe at home.

Alright, well let's not derail the thread. But Bush's pre 9/11 terrorism record of "let's ignore it and go fishing" didn't exactly pan out all that well. We'll be paying the consequences of his post 9/11 record of "let's blow up **** whether its got anything to do with terrorism or not" for decades.

But hey, the Supreme Court stopped the vote in Florida to install Bush, so I guess we'll never know how much better the world could be today.

Talk about adding more idiots to an already crowded idiot presidential race (with the exception of Paul). Caution though, Gore may be a loser, but so was Richard Nixon and he became president.

Gore is hardly an idiot.. Let's see... he's a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, an Academy Award, the Humanitas Prize, a Stanley Kramer Award, a Prince of Asturias Award, the Sir David Attenborough Award, he's an Honorary Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a Webby lifetime Achievement Award and recipient of The President' Award. He has published multiple books, been a VP for 8 years, is a current Board Member of Apple, a Senior Advisor to Google, a Senator for many years, and a past professor at Columbia. What the heck have you done by comparison... eh?

All you Gore-critical people might have differing opinions from him, but to do name calling hardly seems mature. This guy has accomplished more than I would say 99% of you ever will in your entire lifetimes. If he's an idiot, then what are you? What's your excuse?

If Gore runs can you really, objectively paint a picture why we might be worse off than we are today? I think not. Compared to the current candidates is there really anyone there with as many accolades and as much experience under their belt? I think not. He would be a fine candidate if he ran and I suspect Hillary would be a great VP :-)

1. Al gore lost. Independant and blatently left news orgs did indeendant count and it still came up gore the looser.
2. This proof that the Nobel prize is every bit as bought and paid for as any lunch I have ever eaten. His movie and his message is frought with inaccuracies and misleading partial facts.
3. If gore actually believed in his message would he not change his own life style as to set a good example?
4. Has anyone actually seen that tub of lard speak lately? He acts like a raving lunatic.

It's funny, though, isn't it. He didn't get smart until he lost and pursued those postdoctoral studies in climatology that made him an expert in that field.
