It is comedy, which is something Republicans don't understand. Seeing conservatives clutch their pearls about this is like watching a caveman bang a flashlight on the ground trying to figure out the magic.
Only a campaign that is either full of horrible people, or extremely desperate, would run this ad, especially with 12 days to go.
I dare them to run this ad in swing states if they are so proud of it. And I guess where they got the idea? I bet it was from Putin, who had an ad not that far from this same idea.

So clear that many don't know who Lena Dunham is, WHY she would do this ad, and WHO it's targeted to.
I'm not a giant fan of her work but she is probably the hottest young writer/director in Hollywood right now and is being hailed as the voice of her generation. She has attracted a massive following of highly educated, creative young women.
A voting ad from her targets very specifically "her" demographic, her followers.
There is nothing desperate or "low" about this ad. BOTH campaigns are firing on all cylinders working night and day to motivate their voter turnout and convince the last few fence sitters to choose them. BOTH campaigns are trying to hit every corner of their potential voters.
This is a very specifically targeted ad for a specific demo. Why would you "dare" them to run it in a place that it isn't targeted to?
