As long as you don't ask me to compromise on my freedom, we can talk.

I swore after all the fighting on a forum I belonged to in 2008 that I'd stay out of it this year. But here I am. After the election is over I'll stay away from this area of CD.

There is still plenty to complain about. Size of goverment, apppointees, green energy etc... This are not attack issues based on the person. They are policy based. If we continue to be devided we will fall.

The lies and hate coming out is getting worse by the day from both sides and if it continues it will pull us apart.

Please join me in pledging to keep it in house. Dont bring the personal attacks to C-D. Keep it policy based.

I don't see many posters coming to this forum to discuss the issues. Most come here to sling insults, repeat the day's talking points, and to troll. It'll calm down some after the election, though.

So after four years of having the Obama daily mass, we must now play nice-nice?

Sorry, but responsible, hard-working Americans like myself will be paying for his distruction for a long time. I think we deserve to serve his supporters a heaping helping of humble pie. So line up Obozonites, it's hot and ready....best of all it's free...just the way you're 'entitled' to it.

it's a nice thought but this is a forum and this forum is pretty mellow compared to most, it won't change it's just human nature.

The C-D pledge to unite after election thread

How much uniting was there after the last Presidential election?

And the one before that? And before that?

Forget it.

I'm in. One can disagree without being disagreeable. All this rancor demeans the process. It feeds on itself and people just get meaner and meaner without providing any information.

I used to have a friend who was so partisan, he was a jerk. It was pointed out to me that he was such a jerk due to his misery. I started looking at him in another way after 20 years of dinner at least once a week. He truly was a miserable and unhappy person.

And the niceness only last 14 posts. Figures it would be a republican who would break it.
