Mitt Romney's loss may be a blessing in disguise. Bret Stephens writes in the Wall Street Journal:
"And though I have my anxieties about the president's next term, I also have a hunch the GOP dodged a bullet with Mr. Romney's loss.

... the GOP dodged ownership of the second great recession, which will inevitably hit when the Federal Reserve can no longer float the economy in pools of free money. When that happens, Barack Obama won't have George W. Bush to kick around."
Obama owns this economy. He created it, and now he must deal with it in his second term.

Summarizing this article:
Blog: Can Romney's loss help Republicans?
  • The stock market has nose-dived since [because of] his re-election, and October's $120-billion deficit is the start of a fifth straight $1-trillion-plus annual deficit -- not to mention that the economy and jobs are growing at a snail's pace.
  • ObamaCare is beginning to bite, with new taxes starting in 2013, companies cutting back benefits, and all manner of unintended consequences emerging, not the least of which is businesses coming to grips with the law by further constricting hiring. As Forbes recently observed, the health care law has hatched a "healthcare cost monster."
  • The EPA and other agencies have built up a regulatory cliff that rivals the fiscal cliff in potential economic damage, with no desire in a Democratic Senate to apply the brakes. And Dodd-Frank has enshrined too-big-to-fail bailouts while tying up the financial industry in endless and costly bureaucratic rulemaking.
The Democrats now have complete ownership of the wreckage of the last four years, and will have no excuses left when things do not improve, but are worsened by their reckless and foolish policies.

This leaves the door wide open for the mid-term elections in 2014, when many more Democrat Senators will be vulnerable, and for a Republican to be sent to the White House in 2016, thus saving the Republic.

The economy is on shaky ground until we get a solid path forward agreed to and passed. History is against republicans. The party that's been in power with historical reforms put place, like the conservative party was in England at the same time democrats were here in the 30s and 40s have proven to stay in power for 30 years longer.
Republicans can obstruct, but that will likely damn them further. Pretty much the American Taliban part of their party has put them in a catch 22 situation.

If the Republicans are the American Taliban, then the Democrats are the American Nazis.

Their are many similarities between Democrat tactics and Nazi tactics, and the goal of the Democrats is the same.

Liberty, and Freedom, are not the ideals of the Democrat Party.

Republicans do not desire to establish a theocracy. And our Constitution would prohibit any such attempt. Republicans are Constitutionalists, which would seem to make your claim ridiculous on it's face.

However, if you fear a the establishment of an American theocracy, perhaps you would be wise, as a Party (the Democrats) to cease your pandering to, and slobbering all over Muslims, who do pose a threat to America. For their goal, by stealth infiltration, is the Islamization of America, and with the help of YOUR Party, they are doing it.

Yet, it was YOUR PARTY which criticized Michele Bachmann and four other Congressmen for raising the concern with several Attorney's General.

This is a real threat. It is not a trivial thing. Wise up! When we lose freedom of religion, ignorance will be a flimsy excuse.

------------------
And one more thing, which shows your ignorance of Islam vs. Christianity:
  • Christians to not seek to enslave and oppress women.
  • We do not require that they keep their heads covered, leaving only a small slit to see through.
  • We do not seek to prevent them from getting as much education as they desire.
  • We do not practice female genital mutilation.
  • We do not consider their testimony worth only 10% of a man's.
  • We do not murder women for alleged "dishonoring" of family or husband ("Honor killing," something that even American Muslims practice, and get away with in many cases).
  • Christians do not consider women as their "posessions."
The Bible tells us:
Ephesians 5:25 ff "Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the Church, and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church — 30 for we are members of his body. 31 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become on flesh."

Hillary is too old and too tarnished. She has "Benghazigate" written all over her with the blood of four dead Americans.

Hillary has been sucking up to Muslims, which most Americans find anathema to who we are as Americans, because she is acquiescing freedom of speech to Muslim speech codes. This does not sit well with the majority of Americans who do not support the idea of "hate speech" but see it as a threat to liberty.

In short: She has too much baggage.

The GOP might have dodged a bullet, but America didn't.

In spite of his many faults, Romney would have been much better for the country than what we have now.

But the OP is correct. It's now 0bama's mess. Lotsa luck, America.

Wall St. May Not Cheer, but Obama’s Been Good for Stocks..

IT’S often said that Wall Street prefers Mitt Romney to Mr. Obama, Mr. Hickey observed, yet the stock market has flourished under the president — and under Democratic presidents generally. Since 1900, it has returned 7.1 percent annually when Democrats have occupied the White House, and only 3 percent under Republicans.

It's beyond me why the far left ignores, even denies these facts. An inconvenient truth for them, I guess.
