This election cycle was not quite as memorable as 2008. But there were some very memorable moments. Here's one of mine.

I had multiple favorites.

All of the right wing pundits who predicted a Romney victory. It wasn't even close.

This moment on Fox News election night will remain the high point of the entire campaign for me.

Yep, this one gets my vote, too. I was fortunate enough to have just switched over to Fox as this moment unfolded on live television. It's the moment of the campaign season I will remember the most fondly. I laughed so hard at Rove's distress that my stomach hurt. Worth every bit of discomfort.

My favorite moments?

Any time Mitt Romney tried his hand at mingling with the commoners.

Here's a very memorable post-election observation from the very-quotable James Carville (on the spending by conservative superPACs):

"Never have so few spent so much to accomplish so little."

As a Republican...my favorite part of the election cycle has been the GOP's wakeup to shed ties with that idiot Grover Norquist. I mean...what the hell kind of name is Grover anyway? Hopefully Huntsman stays relevant enough to get the nod in 2016 (i'm hopeful but understandably pesimistic).

That was pretty funny. That moment rivals Alan's in the Hangover.

I enjoyed watching the GOP primary debates. I mean the GOP should get a special Grammy for the best comedy show in History. It was like a rehash of Dumb and Dumber watching these goofs and their idiot statements. I knew without a shadow of doubt that the GOP goose was cooked watching these comedies.
