In another thread, someone defined republic as follows:

Quote:
That is, the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness of the minority shall not be infringed upon by the majority.
To which I responded:

You already posted a similar thread. Looks like you are in grief.

To be more specific, he's still in stage 1: Denial.

Nothing similar about the two at all.

The first thread concerned a scenario in which Mitt Romney could become POTUS by Inaugaration Day.

This thread concerns liberals misunderstanding of the idea of republic.

Would it make you feel better if I asked the mods to move this thread to the main P&OC forum?

Moderators - I won't object if you do so.

And you are in stage one of Deflection Disorder: Hijacking a thread away from its intended purpose.

Nope - I am far from angry.

What should I be angry about?

I just had to do a search of the partial phrase liberal b*stardization, and this is what I found, a Rush Limbaugh talking point. Evidently, the OP is talking about this with a twist? Because I've never heard of the term before.
I thought forums were meant for people to have their own thoughts and expressions. If I find a news story on MSN bashing conservatives, can I post it here too? Or would that be considered not my original thought and just repeating what a media outlet says?
