Looking back at some of the winners...I've asked that same question.

You're steeped in merit and logic...when did politics ever consider any of that as important?
It's emotional...a person votes for whomever he/she feels comfortable with...

Perception can be managed by the media. They are doing it now with the fires in California...

Al Gore will play this thing to the end...its his craving for attention and he is sitting at the head Public Relations table.

I ask people everyday about him...as a barometer...
the girl at the checkout replied this morning..."who else is there to vote for?"

Thanks for the links, but none of them tie "Peace" into the "environmental" issue. While I dont agree with the man politically, I admire his accomplishments, I still cant relate to the qualifications of "peace prize"..

In the Demo vernaular, it all depends on what your definition of 'is'...is.

As I've said before, you're basing your judgement and opinion on Logic and Merit...its does not apply in media news distribution. Ratings drive the paycheck and the content of news business...

Now Obama is trying to get on the Gore Gravy Train...will use him in a senior position, IF elected...the word is out.

Sorry, I have no idea how the candidates are evaluated or how peace and environmental issues are connected in the selection process. I'm OK with the mystery.

NAR: You are beginning to reach 'Political Karma'....It is not so much a mystery as a feeling...inner...like the opposite of a convulsion...Call it revulsion...if you will.

There is no logic or merit in it...that's why its called Poly-tricks. eh?

Miborn:

I'm looking for some kind of 'anointing event' to propel Al Gore to the forefront.

Something economic or financial.

Something yet to come...He will 'Assume' the candidacy and then the Presidency.
