However, Condoleeza Rice/Hillary might have potential.

Hillary and Michelle are not qualified to be president. Both are glorified housewives.

Yea, that's EXACTLY what I'd call ivy league educated attorneys, especially when one of them is a former US Senator and former Secretary of State

Might as well finish off the US. After 8 years of Obama, the nation will be mortally wounded anyway. I think it would be a great ticket to finish off "the work" of Obama.

It's Mooch-elle.

President Obama's campaign manager Jim Messina is now heading up the non-profit group called "Organizing for Action" and selling access to Obama. With a small sum of $500,000.00 you can see Obama. Obama just spoke at one of the meetings.

Next they will be renting out the Lincoln bedroom by the hour.

The plan for the money grubbers has been hatched.

None of it is going to stop on either side of the aisle unless we go to publicly funded campaigns, eliminating the need for candidates to do massive corporate fundraising. Both sides do it, and it's destroying our system. Yet, oddly, neither side seems willing to end the cash grab. When I hear you guys screaming about corporations giving money through lobbyists to republican members of Congress, in addition to what the President is doing, then I'll take you seriously. Until then, this is just more whining...

And for that very reason I have always said, NEVER, give government the ok to increase taxes even if they are telling you it will be the other guy. They will always increase taxes on the middle class.

Obama said that the "middle class americans will not pay one more dime in taxes" and he lied.

And people thought Obama was going after the rich. No, he went after you to give to the rich.

Remember when Mooch-elle handing out the award for Argo? Well now Iran is planning to sue Hollywood over the Oscar-winning "Argo" because of the movie's allegedly "unrealistic portrayal" of the country. To add insult to injury, who should give out that particular Oscar - in a precedent-setting move? The First Lady, Michelle Obama. And they were upset at Mooch-elle.

Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Our school had a rocky start with the program as well, but as the year has progressed and the school has worked to address concerns, it's worked out well. The kids have a lunch with fewer calories from fat etc., but we've added a daily fruit and salad bar on top of the regular meal that's included in the lunch price--an extra apple etc. turned out to be a healthy way to fill most of the kids up, and they're actually eating the fruit now instead of french fries because they don't have other options--that's a win for everyone. The biggest complaint came from student athletes in high school, because the program really doesn't address the needs of kids who burn a thousand or more calories during practices. My boys either buy two lunches, or we add additional healthy carbs/protein from home, like extra sandwiches or protein bars during football and wrestling season. We also pack a snack for after school/before practice. It works.

I know it's not Michelle Obama's fault, but her name is still pretty much stamped on it.

Some of the schools in our area (ours included) have a la carte sections in their cafeterias for the kids who don't want the "government issue" lunch (or to supplement it). They are "cash only" and independent from the government subsidized lunch. Meatloaf, pierogis, stuffed peppers, fish sandwiches, pizza, pasta bar, soups, chilis, nacho bar, etc. It's a regular mini buffet, with a menu change every four weeks. They are not eligible to be purchased with a free or reduced lunch ticket. It gives the kids (those with cash to pay for it) some daily alternative options, but they are still disappointed and unhappy at the changes made this year in their old favorites. The "main line" lunch has really diminished, and the a la carte areas have definitely gotten busier.

The cafeteria supervisor stands by the lunch line to make sure there is a piece of fruit on each tray. They usually pitch it like a basketball into the trash before even taking their seat. I sometimes wish I could dumpster dive to retrieve some of that beautiful fruit those spoiled kids take for granted. This year all the schools were forced to start serving whole wheat rolls (at our school they are made on premises by the cafeteria bakers), and probably better than commercially made, but the kids don't like them. I heard about one kid in a neighboring district who went to Wal-Mart on his way to school and bought bags of cheap enriched hamburger rolls and sold them to classmates (and teachers) who pitched their wheat rolls in the trash.

We don't have all the ala carte items--just the main meal with the salad/fruit bar included daily, and as part of the lunch, which is all included for free and reduced cost meals. The kids don't have other choices, so the kids eat the fruit or go hungry. It's amazing what they'll eat when they're hungry. The vending machines are out of the school too, and they can't leave campus, so they don't have other options. We live in a rural area, where the younger kids either ride the bus or are driven to school, so they don't have the opportunity to stop at a store. Some of the high school kids bring their own lunch and bring junk, but overall it's been a success. Like I said--the big issue is enough calories for student athletes at our school, and not that the kids aren't eating the school lunch. The coaches at our school have really pushed healthy eating for the athletes which helps considerably in getting kids to focus in that direction to begin with--athletics are huge in small rural schools out here, and many kids are involved in a sport every season.

I do have sympathy for your job though--you hear all the whining and moaning.
