if he could win the nomination, he could easily win the presidency.
it is as simple as that. the hard road for him would be winning the party nomination, because we still have a lot of neocon republicans out there, in direct opposition to fiscal conservative republicans. some neocon republicans (and clearly neolib democrats, as we are witnessing now with obama aggression) make money off wars, and some are sincere in their fear and anger after 9-11.
there are a group of republicans and democrats who really feel threatened by muslim aggression and think that we need to be over there "dealing with it". unfortunately, that group has yet to be able to tell me why we don't close our borders down if we are so unsafe. why wouldn't we have keep bin laden's family under surveillance after 9-11? there are a lot of unanswered questions out there.
instead, we are spreading ourselves out and squandering our DIMINISHING resources and literally rendering ourselves less powerful if we would ever need to defend ourselves. we only need to look at russia to see how that ends.
