Time for a real presidential debate. I'd like to see a Lincol-Douglas style debate between Ron paul and any of the other so called front runners. Ron Paul would win hands down.

Ron Paul 2008.

I like Paul, I like his policies, what concerns me is the fact that he is yet another Texas politician. Between Texas (LBJ and Bush Jr) and Arkansas (Clinton) has given American a very bad virus.
Overall could he be different? Who knows

Georgia, Georgia, on my mind. Remember now, Dr Paul is a copperhead, and clearly NOT of the same carpetbag that LBJ or El Presidente Boosh are cut from. I was a Ron Paul fan before it was cool. He is the only one who can run on his record. The rest have to run from theirs.

Nice summary - He certainly seems to fit that description today.

I see nothing wrong with a little more attention paid to US-issues and less paid to Global-issues. We need to get out heads out of our butts regarding healthcare, alternative energy, social security, education, immigration, budget balancing, trade balancing, and regulation of h1b visas and outsourcing. Even though Ron Paul doesn't have the answers to all of these issues, he has ideas for how to address most of them which is more than can be said for his opponents.

Regarding him supporting or not supporting Israel - I haven't read anything about that. But I do feel like foreign affairs need to start being handled more judiciously by whomever gets into office. More care needs to be taken as it does the world and the US no good for our country to try to carry the weight of everyone's problems on our own shoulders.

The idea he doesn't support Israel is due I think to the Constitutional basis of his ideals.

No entangling allliances sort of thing.

I am quite 'hawkish' when it comes to world affairs but see no problem supporting Paul.

As long as the war is in the interests of the USA then there is no issue.
