I am not about to venture as to how many will remain R or D, nor which ones they are, but I can tell you: Mark Pryor here is not looking too good these days and I see KY staying Republican, but maybe with a new face.

posted a few senate related posts in 2014/aca threads on this forum...so i'll repeat what I've said on those:

I believe the R's will win all senate seats currently held by D's in states that Romney won except for either KY or GA if they avoid akin/Murdock/engel/O'Donnell type gaffe-prone candidates.

R's win: SD, WV, MT, LA, Alaska, NC.

D's win one of KY or GA. I believe one of Ashley grimes or michelle nunn will win their races.

R's go +5 net and senate goes 50-50 effectively.

Default Dems remain in control of Senate

Republicans have no more chance of taking the Senate than Romney has of paying taxes.

Keep dreaming.

Romney did pay taxes and has paid more in taxes than you and most other Americans.

I don't get it.

of course he did and has. We could probably combine what most of us on here have paid and maybe be able to come up with what Romney has paid in one year.

Romney holds $250 Million dollars in assets...beyond houses, cars, etc.

He makes $50,000 a day just by breathing.

So he pays a miniscule percentage in taxes -- just on his US money, never mind what he's got stashed in other countries and in various tax shelters.

Big deal. He should be paying at least 25% a year...it wouldn't even make a dent in what he owns.

As for the Senate -- it's going to stay in Democratic hands. The GOP has not yet begun to screw up. Get a couple of old white males opining on women's reproductive systems and race relations and watch them lose their seats. Not to mention how the in-fighting in the House makes the whole party look like stumblebums.

Of course, it ain't over 'til it's over but I doubt extremely that the GOP will take the Senate or hold their House majority. I'm buying popcorn stock -- you in?

It's a good thing we don't allow liberal morons to dictate what percentage of a person's income/wealth they should pay in taxes.
