Considering how many things right-wingers have said about Obama's father, GOP candidates should be held to the same standard. In fact, this is going to be so much fun.

That or when he realizes that you can't decide what parts of the Constitution you skulls follow and not recognize. He is a double taking ferret for that reason.

I'd only wish to point out the obvious..back in 1776..America was a fledgling new Country..and Since George was born in 1732...born in Westmoreland , Virginia ..BUT US was not yet formed ..He fought for British Army against the French and Indian ( local residents)...So really..he was born on North American soil...he was a son of British parents..So I guess one could say he was British by origin due to his parents....But I digress...Im sure there is another President you could point t...Many of those earlier Presidents aren't considered by new rules as American born ..was mainly due to there was no such thing as USA..and USA couldn't have anyone YET to be adult enough to even take part in politics...

Sorry for wordiness..BUT just thought I'd mention this detail...Can't compare past non-nation born previous presidents is kind of moot...

But Cruz, tho born OFF soil...since he is Conservative..will be deemed eligible by those that love his schtick..believe in his rhetorics..so ALL is good....But I have to say..it sure rings hollow after listening to the like s of Trump and others claims against BO ..I just SMH..It's legal when our guy has issue..BUT unsubstantiated rhetoric means the "Other guy" is Illegal..un fact is Muslim and ya know where that went

Trump is still raising "birther" concerns about Cruz. And to your point about GOP hypocrisy, look at the whole "we need to see Obama's transcripts" and how quickly it disappears when Walker apparently struggled in college and finally quit, never receiving a degree at all.

Well, I say according to last election 2012...BO was constantly skewered because of his father's affiliation country...and his mother single mother status...SO what's good for goose is good for gander....Personally I don't care..Go for it> ..pick you representative and vote for Cruz....I will really look forward to watching this guy perform..He's very entertaining indeed

this is directly addressed in the US constitution:

"No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President;"

I wouldn't vote for Cruz if he were running unopposed, but he's eligible.

i'm seeing lately a few on the left on this forum claiming " he's canadian, he's not eligible" but nothing i'd describe as "full birther".
