If money weren't so entrenched in politics, he may have a chance. Either way, he would bring some very important issues to the debate:

there is already a long thread about his being open to running and no, he would stand no chance.

It would be great to have him as president. Don't know if the country is that smart.

His becoming president is about as likely as Brewer. Neither will ever win, probably neither will even run and no, he would be a terrible choice, that is why he could never even be a token candidate.

He actually has very little in common with Hillary Clinton, who makes speeches at Goldman Sachs for $500,000 a pop. Why shouldn't he run? I think he could actually get a decent percentage of the votes. And unlike Hillary Clinton, he has some convictions; it's not just saying anything and doing anything to get elected. And unlike Hillary Clinton, he won't put on a phony southern accent when he's campaigning south of the Mason Dixon line.

I'd love to see him run; it would be bad if he won. I don't think he'd be much worse than any Democrat running though.

Saw Nader on Democracy Now recently, another one who makes complete sense and the US would be lucky to have as president.

The effect of money and advertising is interesting; was reading about the recent Florida election and the effect of advertising there, how the pro-death-and-ruin GOP tries to convince people that it's good to be poor and without health insurance.

I met Bernie Sanders a few times. He used to come to a nearby town every year for "Fighting Bob"fest,a leftwing CPAC type of thing. Also got to meet Dennis Kusinich,Jim Hightower and other nutcase radicals.
