I'm curious to see the differences in Plurality vs Approval voting systems among Republican voters here. I understand that we don't have a true Plurality system, but I am betting this will show us how moving to a better system would stop the voting for the lesser of X evils syndrome.

Interesting results so far. As of 12/12 @ 10 PM CST:

Approval Voting:
1st Paul - 65%
2nd Huckabee - 30%
2nd Tancredo - 30%
4th Thompson - 25%
4th Hunter - 25%
6th Giuliani - 15%
6th Romney - 15%
8th McCain - 10%

Plurality Voting:
1st Paul - 62.5%
2nd Giuliani - 12.5%
2nd Huckabee - 12.5%
2nd Thompson - 12.5%

I'm not surprised at the results (not talking about the candidates), since approval voting really eliminates the wasted vote syndrome. Too bad the politicians would never go for a system that would put their rule in jeopardy... we might get some good people in Washington with a different voting mechanism.
