A new article out this morning on Huckabee.

Huckabee vows to defy birthright citizenship - - The Washington Times, America's Newspaper

Ron Paul's immigration ad that has been running for over a week:

YouTube - Ron Paul TV Ad: Immigration

Paul has called for removing the birthright citizenship since he started his run by amending the Constitution. Paul has also said on the Glenn Beck show that he would pardon the border guards immediately upon taking the oath of office. Now, Huckabee is doing the same.

Last week, Huckabee began talking about the economy in a way that only Ron Paul has done.

Huckabee Sounding A Little Like Ron Paul - From The Road

I hope Huckabee tells his supporters to vote for Paul when he loses in New Hampshire.

I noticed a couple months ago when I first heard Huckabee talk about eliminating the IRS that he had basically copied Ron Paul's stance on that issue. Now we're seeing that Huckabee is copying Ron Paul's stances on other issues. We all saw Huckabee copy Bush's concept of running as a "faith candidate" a few weeks ago (his controversial Christmas ad). Just last week we saw Huckabee appear on Jay Leno to jam on a guitar very much the way Bill Clinton had on MTV.

All in all it's obvious that he and his campaign management have decided to copy from the best-practices established by others... both previous winners of Presidential elections, as well as from people like Ron Paul who admittantly have great ideas which resonate with a majority of voters.

What do I predict will happen? Well if Huckabee keeps this up I believe he might just win the election. Unfortunately few of the ideas or strategies have been his own so I question what he'll do if elected (he hasn't demonstrated the level of intelligence that Ron Paul has nor has he demonstrated the undeniable charisma that Bill Clinton has). We don't need a faker or a copy-cat in office, we need the real deal.

My only regret is that I have but one point to give you.

I love the logic of this thread.

May I ask in a small voice, however: why, if Ron Paul's ideas are being "copied" by that mean old Huckabee, doesn't Dr. Paul himself beneift more fully from propogating them himself? Is he shy? Unsure of himself with strangers? Afraid that folks will think of him as a show-off?

If any of these three things are true, then why on earth is Paul running for President?

MOD CUT Ron Paul is running for President because he is the real thing. Huckabee is a pale imitation at best. Huckabee is a member of the CFR which makes him (and all of the other candidates unfortunately) highly suspect. Huckabee will continue the sellout of the US to the international bankers and corporations.

If you really think Paul has gotten a fair shake in the media, you are very misinformed. Did you notice Paul's stance was not mentioned in the article? Instead they said no other candidate was proposing this.

Not exactly. I'd compare it to Coca-Cola versus Sam's Cola. Huckabee is the knockoff.

Ron Paul is consistent. Mike Huckabee is not. Enough said.
