False, you are not forced against your religion because you wouldn't have anything to do with a gay wedding, you just make wedding cakes. Last time I checked, you guys have no clue what the difference between a gay wedding cake and a straight wedding cake are, well besides inner bigotry of course.

Oh and this should tell you how useless the Tea Party is when a thread about the Tea Party turns into gay marriage.

Who says... I discriminate everyday, based upon many things. It is my right, it is my freedom to do so as a free thinking individual.
Does government own my business?
I bet you think I'm a Christian, too.

You need to be more specific, I have no interest in your vague comments or attempts to deflect.

Well are you discriminating at your job or just personal life? If it is your job, how exactly do you discriminate? Alao, what is the difference between a gay wedding cake and a straight wedding cake?

Well don't get caught, because discrimination means you are probably breaking the law. Also, the business you "run," does it involve making a produce to be sold?

Caught? You must be an employee and have no clue how a small business works.
I don't have to submit a proposal to anyone. You cannot force me to give you a price.
If I do give you a price, I will make sure it is high enough, you will go elsewhere, or it will make it worth my while to swallow my principals. Yes, my discrimination can be bought off. I do have an instant ass-hole charge, on my price sheet.

Why? Why? Because I don't have the time to fool with you.... Bye.

Because your gay..... Anyone that says that, is an idiot.

Oh businesses get caught for discrimination all the time, it wouldn't be hard to catch you breaking the law it seems. All I would have to do is call in a Mexican accent, then call back asking the same thing in a white bread American accent, then report the discrimination.

And how can you tell someone is gay over the phone?

Yet a business cannot deny same sex marriage benefits.
New York
The law states that marriage licenses cannot be denied to same-sex couples, and that no government or private entity can deny the rights, benefits or protections of marriage to same-sex couples who are legally wed. Furthermore, any state law that uses gender-specific terms to describe spousal rights and responsibilities will now be interpreted in a gender-neutral manner. Valid marriages from other states and countries with fair marriage laws will continue to be recognized in New York, and will be treated the same as in-state marriages.

*The Internal Revenue Service allows gay couples to file joint tax returns, the Department of Defense extends spousal benefits to same-sex couples, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons grants equal visitation rights. Yet there are a few federal agencies that still won’t recognize some same-sex marriages. They include the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Social Security Administration, and the Railroad Retirement Board. Each is bound by statutory language dating back decades requiring them to defer to state laws in determining who counts as married.

Which is it, recognize same sex marriage or dont recognize it?
Businesses have to operate according to the LAW. When a business owner applies for and receives a license, a contract from the state, a business owner VOLUNTARILY agrees to operate according to the law.
