States are ready to take back their sovereignty from the federal government and they are looking for that Ferdinand moment.
Only in a fantasy land, if you think these states are gonna go to war over gay marriage, then I say bring it on, I would be happy to crush oppression like that where people wish to deny the rights of people to marry.

War?
Only the Federal government can start a war.
I don't see the conservative majority in the legislature doing that.
I lean pro-choice but it is a difficult issue in terms of individualism. What about the individual rights of the child? In any case it is the classic wedge issue. The right to abortion has been established and is not going away anytime soon. Democrats told us in 2000 that W Bush would prohibit abortion, but 15 years later, people are still getting abortions., for better or worse.
Oh, come on now.No one is going to fall for that misdirection argument. Bush tried multiple times. What exactly did you think the Right-to-Life/Human Life amendments are ?????????
Nor do I see Texas going against the Supreme Court, gay marriage will soon be legal in every state, including Texas.
You have not been paying attention then.
Until the US Constitution is amended to specifically allow the federal government to control marriage, it is left to the individual states to decide. Just like states over pot.
The federal government doesn't give you the privilege of marriage. The individual states do.
You do not file for a marriage license with the federal government. You do that with your state.
You are going to need an amendment just like there was an amendment to allow women to vote.

You will watch your state cave on this one just like they did with interracial marriage. No matter how much a few people in Texas kick and scream. Though I will have a beer to celebrate their misery when gays are legally allowed to marry in any state and their marriage is recognized in every state.
Correct, urbanlife78, BentBow just wants another George Wallace blocking the university door moment, and the feds should have arrested and imprisoned Wallace.
We've seen our last Wallace moment; whatever the court decides, 50 states will abide by..peacefully.
