Cruz will only win one demographic. You could put in a puppy as the Republican nominee and he would probably get more votes.

There's a massive difference between state political elections and national ones. Poli Sci 101. It's not looking good for the GOP. The influences of gerrymandering are mitigated in a national election so urban areas are more properly represented.

I have never seen a rant from the man they call Ted Cruz...
Only the facts, presented in a professional manner, without pulling punches.
He has not argued and won all 9 cases he has argued before the Supreme Court, by ranting.
Jeb and Hilary are going to be embarrassed, debating the man called Cruz on any topic.

Do you have a source for that? I don't see a moderate getting Koch support until after a nominee is named. Other corporate support, sure.

Exactly. The problem with the far right is that Tea Party candidates and other conservatives even libertarians (as oppose to Libertarians) only draw in red electorate states ) those that are red and have been for 30 something years at least.

Exactly not. Cruz has never run for any office where gerrymandering was ever a factor. He ran exactly once, for US Senate. Gerrymandering make zip, zero, nada difference in US Senate elections.

It may not but it's Texas. Since the 1968 election it has mostly been a red state. The main reason it was blue in 1960 & 64 was LBJ being on the ticket. Texas is a Republican safe house like most of the south. Using his Texas win for a predictor for a national race like the primaries and general presidential election doesn't compute.

I will be happy to vote for the puppy over most of the candidates at this point in time.

Texas didn't flip Red until GW. Bush.
