Well because one the south was ran by racist Dixiecrats (far right Democrats) and they were voted in by biggots. I'm sure someone could spin it as the south didn't want so the free market didn't push for that.

Oh it's even better than that. And I gotta admit- it's a truly impressive feat of revisionism:

White southerners weren't racist... Big Government MADE them do it!

Who broke the 3/5ths compromise?

The States or the Federal Government.....
Remember, The US Constitution chained the federal government from changing it, without an amendment.
The unconstitutional maneuvers, made the 2nd amendment come to life in a big way.

Had it not been done the way it was, we would not see the resentment we see today, and slavery would have been abolished as generations, progressed.
Democrat progressive era aristocrat, Woodrow Wilson, ruined the slow acceptance of Black people in the USA.

The south had a big economic advantage over the south, with cotton and produce commodities and foreign trade.

LBJ could not get the Civil Right Passed by his own Party, Democrats Mostly. LBJ appealed to Republicans and it was passed.

Rand Paul provides a Constitutional view and to up hold the Freedoms that big Gov. Has regulated since the Dem's took over both houses of Gov and then the White House.

Dem's are fear ful of their record and more fearful explaining to the American People why this is a Part Time 32 hours a week Economy.

I'd say every point you make is true in some sense and/or to some extent.

And none of it changes the fact that GOP presidential candidate Rand Paul wants whites-only lunch counters to be legal.

Can you each please list some specific actions that are currently banned by the Civil Rights Act, but that you would like to be made legal?

Thanks!

It created a protected class of US citizens, other US citizens didn't get the same privileges.

He's a Doctor. He isn't used to being hounded by reporters. Things will get tougher for him. He may not be able to handle the stress without cracking.

I found Paul cool and collect and well spoken. The good Doctor answers question directly and refused to to be drawn in a none issue.
We will have to see how Rand Paul Develops as a Presidential Candidate.

And?

Rand Paul is supporting segregationist policies now. I'd vote for neither.
