The pro-Castro people have been around since the 60's as well. Lee Harvey Oswald and his "Fair Play for Cuba" committee were very active back in the early 1960's. Oswald and his cohorts didn't like the idea of trying to push the island nation to freedom.
Maybe after the death of the Castro brothers, Cuba might start to drift away from communism, but I doubt it. They are on the 3rd generation of communist leaders in North Korea.
