I spent my working life as an engineer running large projects. The standard dialog is fiercely profane to the point that you would actually have to be careful who you put on the point. And that is a custom in engineering of long standing. It was however in no way actually aimed at the individual. Just a style thing.

Yes, of course, cursing employees under you is just a style thing. Where I work you won't work long with that "style".
