That's what Dr. Paul says, but it really doesn't change the validity of what I was pointing out at all.
The GOP snubbed conservatives as well as Dr. Paul in 2008 as well, and didn't pick a Tea Party favorite at all.
I don't see the general group of conservative voters ever picking a Tea Party candidate in the GOP Primary....heck, I don't even see anyone trying to identify themselves as a Tea Party candidate.
The economy went south because of the bipartisan congress which bypassed the free market in Housing. How hard is it to understand when standards are lowered efficiency suffers? That's econ 101. Anyone who thinks it is because of deregulation has no business posting about economics. Even President Clinton got that correct.
Invading Iraq, which was against what no nation Bush preached to get elected was bi partisan too. Bush does get the blame for going in though. The president controls troop movements. Bush lied.
I know cowards on both sides of the aisle made it too easy to get a house and voted for the war but you shouldn't be carrying water for Bush, pretending deregulation had nothing to do with the economy crashing. You really believe millions lost their 401Ks because of Clinton and his role in the housing crisis? Conservatives will never learn that giving Wall Street carte blanche will spiral our economy down the drain because you can't give bad greedy people unlimited power over our economy, it lets the con artists get themselves rich scamming everyone else.
Not seeing any real way the GOP can overcome the Blue Wall.
The blue wall is simply a figment of some people imagination. This could have been said many years ago about the Dems chances. Look at the south: my state particularly. Even our state government is notw controlled by the right. . There was a time and not all too many years ago that CA was primarity Red if you want to use the color code. How many people would have guessed Mass, and MD would elect a Republican governor in the last election?

You keep telling yourself that, when was the last time Maryland went for the GOP? Unless the GOP is planning on putting up a liberal Republican, don't count on Maryland or Massachusetts voting for them.
