All that is saying is: Dem are looking for anyone other than Hillary. It doesn't mean a hell of beans when it comes down to how much money he is going to need to be taken too seriously. Ron Paul was always good at raising money from individuals, but it takes a lot more than those little $50 donations to support a candidate.
