The current POTUS was elected not due to being the better choice, but because there was no real alternative. People are looking for a POTUS who will do the least amount of damage in relation to the US and its citizens. The facts are that no POTUS can satisfy everyone. Looking at other nations, the US may have to scrap the political system it currently has and create a coalition government in its place.
