Hillary is the favorite among all voters according to polls, so there should be no surprise that millionaires, too, prefer her to any of the dismal choices on the right.

That's hogwash! Long before you've heard of the Clintons, Hillary worked her way up from an associate to a partner for a prominent law firm. In the process she was named one of the best 100 lawyers in America! I laugh at anyone who doesn't think you need to work hard to be made partners.

So, in your universe. Millionaires cannot also be immigrants?

Chelsea is not running for the presidency is she?

Now, George W. Bush, there's a guy who never held a real job in his life. Funny that no conservatives seemed to care then.

How is that different from movie stars who earn millions for making a movie or sports figures who get paid millions? They supposedly earn it, also.

Speeches from very well known public figures command high prices.

Sure. Speaking fees are a means of income for many people. Politicians, inspirational speakers, expert lecturers, writes, poets, artists, business people, visionaries, entertainers, housewives, and farmers all make money speaking. Some make their living from speaking.

Some public speakers rise and become increasing popular as the years go by, while others fall and still others remain steady.
Actor Hal Holbrooke has been portraying Mark Twain for decades. All he's doing is speaking Twains words as he believes the man himself said them, and Clements made his living for decades as a public speaker, not as a writer.

At her peak, Sarah Palin got $50,000 a pop for delivering a speech, but as her popularity has waned, so have her fees. I think her current speaking fee now is only $5,000, 1/10th of what it once was.

They're a popular entertainment and a good way to raise money. Dinner and a speech can make for an informative and pleasant evening.
