Can you prove your thread title, or is it a lie? Are any of the workers illegal aliens?

From the article:

Quote:
Interviews with about 15 laborers helping renovate the Old Post Office Pavilion revealed that many of them had crossed the U.S-Mexico border illegally before they eventually settled in the Washington region to build new lives.

Several of the men, who hail mostly from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala, have earned U.S. citizenship or legal status through immigration programs targeting Central Americans fleeing civil wars or natural disasters. Others quietly acknowledged that they remain in the country illegally.

That is the problem with hiring a general contractor to renovate anything. The general contractor doesn't know how to build a thing. He knows how to phase each task and contracts with other contractors(subcontract) That contractor then may subcontract it out again. The guy finally doing the work, is some illegal, working for a 1986 entitlement grabber(Reagans amnesty) Doing the actual labor for pennies what a union guy makes, much less what an American did it for as the non-union subcontractor 40 years ago.

No one was forcing Trump to hire non-unionized contractors. Especially in NYC where standard practice was to hire unionized contractors.

And yet, it's Donald Trump who hires the illegals.

Maybe all that hair glue has gone to his head, turning his hypocritical brain to mush.

You really think a multi billionaire personally hires people for his projects? Please. he has people who do all that. You think they check every single workers immigration status before hiring them? It shouldn't be any private citizens job to check immigration status anyways, thats the governments job. Why don't they start doing it? Besides, if they DID want to see proof of legal status before hiring someone, then all the Mexicans would get offended and complain they are racial profiling and stereotyping. You can't win with irrational PC liberals in control.
