At a recent hearing there was testimony in regards to the election,of which I had never heard before. This amazed me and the other people that saw it.
What is your personal experience with ballots, electronic or otherwise and do you believe that it is a fair way to collect the votes?
I would especially like to hear from computer specialists out there who may be very knowledgeable...thank you.

Short answer:

There is no honesty or integrity in electronic voting...he who is friends with the owner of the voting machine company is the winner.

Voting Machine Controversy
by Julie Carr Smyth
COLUMBUS - The head of a company vying to sell voting machines in Ohio told Republicans in a recent fund-raising letter that he is "committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year."
The Aug. 14 letter from Walden O'Dell, chief executive of Diebold Inc. - who has become active in the re-election effort of President Bush - prompted Democrats this week to question the propriety of allowing O'Dell's company to calculate votes in the 2004 presidential election.

Diebold is the company. They're having issues during the primary season as well, NH is being contested by a man from Michigan who states his entire purpose of running was to place voting inconsistencies from electronic machines in the public forum.

My entire county has just switched over to electronic, I have asked for paper ballots, and sent them the video of the testimony I have now found online by a NASA computer specialist. He testified in regards to this, stating clearly that you could easily tamper with these machines, stating further that he was approached to do so.
It is on you tube..
under ~"Why Ron Paul only got 8% in the New Hampshire Primary".

This is what I have done to combat it, I am volunteering to help this county and to see to it that we go back to paper ballots. I contacted our court house, and the elections bureau this morning, and she also did express great concern for what is going on.
We may be going back to paper ballots this election. I have requested to vote on paper the way we always did , and until two years ago, that is how it was done here.
Two years ago was also when all this garbage with the extension of NAFTA and the SPP started. This is what is happening..now.
If we do not elect someone who values our Nation, and it's sovereign rights as a Nation and the Constitution we will all be paying dearly in the coming years.
I am asking all of you to please contact your local court house and your election bureau to see how your vote will be tallied this election, and to ask for paper ballots,it is obvious to me that these computers are very easily manipulated. In addition there should be exit polls, and they should be very close to what the results are.
Another family has come forth stating that they voted for a candidate and the voting results showed 0 for that candidate. They confirmed that there was at least one large group of people who voted for him, this was in Florida, and it was a democratic candidate.
I dont care what your party is, this is at the very heart of what our country is based on!! The integrity of our votes is at stake!!!

Integrety and politics do not go hand and hand...
Democrats don't want voters to have to present a valid ID...
Republicans demand it and often intimidate voters.
Local elections pull their scams.
In short we can only hope that the cheating between parties balances out enough to cancel each other out.

Well have the florida mess democrats demanded a new system. In my county democrats are now griping about a system they put in plcae just like they did with the old system. This is a democratic controlled county.I also believe that ID should be required.I think it funny that both hilariey and obama camps think the other is committing fraud.

There are tons and tons of threads like this and the forum only goes back so far. If it went back to 2000 with it's archives we'd have hundreds of threads about republicans rigging elections with Diebold.

So which is it guys? You're too young to remember or too dishonest to admit the claims aren't new?
