TL;DR: The establishment candidates -- among whom I'd count Bush, Walker, and Rubio -- are doing much worse this time around. Bush and Walker, in particular, have revealed themselves to be surprisingly politically inept. The problem is not with the candidates themselves. Paul, Bush, Cruz, and Huckabee are just fine as candidates. The problem is the GOP as whole. Their behavior in recent years is a real turn-off and people have simply had enough.
