I'm actually looking forward to it in a real way. I am still undecided about either. Last time Hillary ran I voted for her in the primaries. But Sanders is making more sense and seems more of an outsider.
And I LOVE (non demented) "old people." I appreciate wisdom over cockiness. I realize that I'm in the minority.
It will also be nice to see only 2 people on the stage. More of a "debate" and less of a circus.
As far as is known, I think O'Malley, Chafee and Webb will also be invited to the debate. Whether they show up remains to be seen. I think as long as a candidate has at least 1% in 3 different national polls, they will be included in the debates. These three should qualify (barely).
At least O'Malley has made an effort to campaign and put himself out there, even going so far as to attack Clinton occasionally. He probably deserves to be there. As for Webb and Chafee, do even their families know where they are?
Webb has been a big disappointment. Many were pleased when he announced an exploratory committee last year and saw him as a moderate that has become virtually extinct in the Democratic party. He's been virtually invisible since announcing his candidacy and couldn't even be bothered to show up for Democratic functions such as a big one in Minnesota in August. He missed that one because he had to take his daughter to college.
As for Chafee, his last fundraising totals showed that he raised about $28,000 from private donors through the last quarter. He's quite wealthy but I don't think he plans to spend too much of the family fortune for his presidential run. His biggest focus so far seems to be a push for the metric system. That should be a barnburner topic for the 1st debate.
As far as Uncle Joe, he's still deciding whether to s**t or get off the pot so he won't be a consideration for this debate at least.
So there you have it. Slick Willie II, a 74 year old socialist, a buffed up obscure former governor, the invisible man and a cheerleader for the metric system. Should be a fun night.
No need to get your panties in a twist. Did you contribute to the high ratings for the Republican debate? If so, you are one of the reasons the news channels can't get enough of DJT. For that, I say "Thank you."
Great comment! The plus with Trump pulling in people to watch him is that they end up listening to what the GOP candidates are saying and maybe this is the first time that they did this. Awaken American to the REAL issues that we are faced with and hear some solutions rather than be snowed with non-issues.
Seriously, Hillary is extremely bitter at this point and frustrated. I don't think that will show well. I think she will initially try to keep it together in a debate but with time, she's show her true colors.

My panties are never in a twist. Yes, I tuned in twice to see what ridiculousness would come out of his mouth. He did not disappoint.

I did, too. There is no way I would have watched both debates in their entirety if not for Trump. Millions of people tuned in merely in the hope of seeing him do or say something audacious and prompt equally audacious responses from the rest of the field. It was a good show, if lacking in any depth whatsoever. But people weren't tuning in for depth, only for the show.
The difference between the GOP and Democratic debates will be the difference between watching Romper Room and PBS NewsHour.
Aren't you supporting Trump?? Someone older rhan Clinton..
Not older in political failures and life in politics.
