He is awkward at times and sometimes says the wrong thing. But I agree- he seems like a nice genuine person. Almost like a regular guy that got thrown into politics. Seems like he's normally quiet and reserved(almost acts like an introvert engineer type). It almost seems like he was thrown into this race where people are debating and getting deep into politics and he's just not good at it and doesn't want any part of it but he's going along with it trying to get through this phase. He seems so out-of-place that you feel sorry for him and you wonder why he chose to run.

I thought it was kind of cute during the beginning of the debate when all the candidates lined up for the photo- he stood on his toes to look for his wife in the audience. Some say he was trying to be taller but I don't buy that because he was already the tallest in line, by far. He really was looking out into the audience. He looked like an 8 year old boy doing that. It made him appear so innocent and human for that short moment, IMO. Though you know there are ruthless politicians backing him and also holding his puppet strings.

They didn't have to be aggressive with Putin. He answered the questions directly and in detail. Trump didn't give anything but his canned, I-am-the-greatest stuff and so they had to be aggressive with him to try and get something in depth.

...but Trump was bragging about how many people would pay NO tax. This is one of the reasons we are struggling as a country now--not enough people are helping to row the boat. Both parties have bragged over the past thirty years about how many millions of people have come OFF the tax rolls. Trum brings more of the same.

I think we need to give more people a sense that they are a part of this great enterprise. Trump, like his politician predecessors, would deny this privilege to millions more.

It is a crock, and so is he.

Oh like Warren Buffet and the hedge fund guys and gals on Wall Street? I distinctly remember Trump alluding to increasing their taxes in the past. The other Republicans protect their "donor class" at any cost.

Raising taxes on poor people is a terrible idea. As you point out, Trump's plan wouldn't change the current system. Eliminating taxes on the poor will raise consumer spending because they won't have the money being taken out of their checks monthly. They will no longer have to use tax preparers. They will have more money in their checks to pay their bills on time, therefore less likely to fall for scams like pay day loans. I think it's a great plan.

They still pay state and local sales taxes, property taxes either through home ownership or rent, and a lot of them smoke drink and buy lottery tickets which are essentially poor taxes

Trump had to answer fast and brief because he kept getting interrupted with follow up questions. Just the tone of the interview was completely different. They didn't even air the part of the interview where they asked Putin about gay rights, but Charlie Rose treated Putin like a child, didn't even challenge his outright lies on that. It was pathetic. But, with Trump Scott Pelley treated Trump like a criminal defendant in a deposition hearing.

He came across as a sneering, smug, snarky reporter that he always is. They don’t even pretend anymore to be respectful and objective. Once again, Trump stood his ground and did not embarrass his supporters. It is hard to overstate how far we’ve come in just 3 month. They are talking about deportation on 60 minutes and it sounds very normal. Did you notice Pelley didn’t actually challenge the premise of deportation, only the mechanics of it?

Yeah, like this question, which is not even a question: Russia is a force to be reckoned with. Putin, not believing what he just heard, pauses and with a smirk “answers”, sure!

So which flavor of Kool-Aid is the preferred one for Trump supporters? He can go on national TV and spew his fact-free rants and the true believers lap it up and say he did well.

What does it say about our American governing system if Scott Pelley says throughout the Trump interview 'you can't do that, there's no way, a president can't do that, you won't be able to, how can you do it, it isn't possible, where will you get the money' while giggling incredulously?

Expectations have been lowered so much that he and many others have been conditioned to just accept that the government is a worthless ineffective giant blob of nothing you shouldn't expect much out of.

He could be enjoying the night on his yacht somewhere. Instead, he is on 60 minutes getting grilled by Scott Pelley. He has been quizzed more than all other candidates combined. What is Jeb’s immigration plan?

Trump definitely has great genes to put up with all of this and still run a business. I notice throughout interviews, he wins people over. He has both a gulf reserve of energy and another one of charisma, it's amazing, he's almost 70.

As for Jeb Bush and his immigration plan, I like Carson's quote about depending on where the wind blows.
