I do take note the very vocal City-Data chorus who told us absolutely that Trump wouldn't last, has grown absolutely silent on the matter.

He'll continue bashing minorities (this week: Syrian refugees) to appease the right-wing fringe, but he's toast, and you know it.

The CNN debate exposed his severe lack of knowledge on most issues, and that's not something he can fix.

Quote:
"They could be ISIS …This could be one of the great tactical ploys of all time. A 200,000-man army maybe, or if you said 50,000 or 80,000 or 100,000, we got problems and that could be possible." - Donald Trump
This man is a living, breathing pair of clown shoes. The Apprentice guy won't sniff the White House.

Trump will then be able to use his brutal business tactics to wheel and deal and get himself at least the number two spot if not the nomination.

Virtually all Republicans will vote for him because voting for Hillary or Bernie wold be like voting for Joseph Stalin for them. He will be able to receive enough Democratic votes with his America first strategy that he could win the whole thing.

Trump is a very dangerous character. Do not underestimate him. He is what America has become. We watch reality TV, not PBS. We listen to horrible rap music and think its cool. We worship the music of cotton candy pop stars, not the likes of Joni Mitchell or Bob Dylan. We don't go to the theater, we go to MMA fights. We don't talk to each other, we text. We self aggrandize and self promote on social media but don't create or innovate.

We are Trump and Trump is us. That's why he can win the whole thing. He doesn't have to be right, he doesn't have to make sense, just be Trump.
Interesting and probably accurate analysis. Even if Trump doesn't win in 2016, the country is trending Trump, by which I mean it's characters like him -- not serious, sober candidates -- who appeal to the American electorate in the future. If Trump doesn't win in 2016, there's always 2020 and beyond. Trump has been trolling the Republican party for decades, but he didn't make a serious run at the nomination until after 2012. In his words, "2012 was different -- I could have won that."

He has increased a fortune by seeing one or two steps ahead of the competition about what was possible and making moves -- many of which seemed outrageously bold at the time -- based on it. Trump definitely has some sort of plan for how to cash out.

Exactly.

Similar to what happened in Italy with Silvio Berlusconi during a 17-year period, Trump is more a reflection of those who oppose him than of those who support him.

Seemingly out of nowhere he came out saying if he becomes president all those able bodied 20 something old men will go back to Syria. People rose to their feet. The fix is in to take in 200,000 strangers. Ok, there is a war there but there is war everywhere. With all that is going on on the southern border there is no stomach for this.

This is leadership. Once again others have to react to it and look foolish in the process.
I must admit that was a good move that refreshes the xeno-crowd. I wonder if he can do that, but it will definitely put a little air back in his balloon. His problem in the long run though is that he can't get enough share to win the nomination. None of the them look likely to do that unless the conservatives drop out or the three (moderate) amigos decide to go with only one. That puts it to the brokered convention and a nasty fight that will kick Trump out and drive him to a third party run.

Since Romney is the one that encouraged Fiorina to run, it's not surprising he has nothing good to say about Trump.

67% of Latinos say their view of Donald Trump is “very negative.” I'm curious what the other minorities are thinking - you can't win with only securing the redneck country bumpkin birther vote......Republicans need to be very concerned right now if Trump continues to lead their polls because the way things are playing out for the general election, he can't win.

With the stream of Mexicans flooding the border on the top of train cars still fresh, people don’t want to hear another 200,000 are on their way. There is no stomach for it. What is enough for you? At what point would you say enough? Pick any number and there are a million more. Besides, these are not the kind of refugees you have in mind. For one, their cellphones still work stepping off the boat. I want to know what plans they are on because mine sure doesn't work overseas. They are actually shopping for a country. They turned down Finland!
