It's clear the Warren Wing of the Democrat party is dead. It's of by and for the Clinton's now. This is bad news for Bernie Sanders as with Biden being too chicken to face the King, and no other Democrat of national prominence (are there any left) willing to challenge her, then it's most certain that Hillary Clinton will be the nominee.
All the decks are stacked against Bernie. His goose is cooked, stick a fork in him because because he is done. So rather than waste time & money tearing down The King, the new leader of the Democrats, when will Bernie pull out of the race?
He won't. He'll stay in the race for the same reason that Rand Paul has been staying in (to get a message out there) and for the same reason Jeb! is remaining (out of stubbornness and still thinking he can win).
But there is no point in putting out that message. Clinton isn't interested in populism. She is completely married to the corporate, finance, military complex status quo.
It will be a good exercise to see of those Dems that cry against corporate welfare actually believe in what they spout.
Clinton's campaign contributors read like the list of TARP recipients.
Sanders will probably stay in the race until Clinton sews up the requisite number of delegates to secure the nomination.
The key to understanding this is the fact that Sanders is not running a campaign to be the Democratic nominee but rather one to shape the conversation and nudge the Democratic party towards issues he feels are important. The obvious 'tell' in this regard came during the first Democratic debate, when he not only declined to criticize Clinton for her emails but pointedly dismissed the issue as irrelevant. Sanders knows that the only way to the nomination is through Clinton - by passing on his only real hope to bring her down (however remote it was), he showed that he is running an issues campaign, not a campaign intended to result in his being the nominee. He wants to advance his agenda, but he will only do so without damaging the eventual Democratic general election candidate.
Thus, his campaign is not dependent on his fortunes in Iowa or New Hampshire. He'll run, he'll press the issues that are most important to him, and when Clinton mathematically clinches the nomination he'll give her a full-throated endorsement.
Of course, just four days ago the OP was peddling the inane fantasy that Biden was going to run for President as Obama's scorched-Earth tool to stop Clinton - and I don't expect anyone as delusional as that to be able to grasp even the most obvious dynamics of the race.

I disagree, since he's generated an enormous amount of enthusiasm, and although right now he isn't continuing his ascension at a rapid pace, he still has plenty of time until the primaries to surge in the polls. The 'Warren Wing' would be considered a mere fraction of the Democratic Party and yet Bernie still is close to Clinton in NH and also is IMO within striking distance of Iowa, both are plausible victories. He also has received n extreme amount of fundraising, so I think he'll be able to hold out until the DNC convention. Of course, I'm not guaranteeing he will win the primary, but I don't see him suspending his campaign unless he's defeated.

This thread is funny, considering there are 943 candidates on the GOP side running for president, with most in the 0.01% to 1% range, who have not dropped out.
