To folks on the left, how do you feel about the government spying on you? They read your emails, listen in your phone calls, and who knows what else, all in the name of keeping you safe from terrorists. I'm going to assume that this sort of thing bothers you, that you're not OK with the government invading your privacy, and that you want a President who feels the same way.

What does this have to do with Hillary Clinton's private email server? Simple. Hillary supported The Patriot Act, which authorized mass surveillance by the NSA. But when it comes to her own emails, she wants to hide them from the public. I'm not interested in reading about her personal emails. But when she sends and receives emails that have to do with official State Department business, that's something the public should have access to. We deserve to know if she was corresponding with people who were also donating to her family's foundation. We deserve to know what she was saying to a Canadian oil company who wanted to build a giant pipeline on our land. If she had used a government issued email address, that information would be made available through The Freedom of Information Act. But since she deleted 30,000 emails that she claims were personal, we'll never know just what was personal and what wasn't. At a minimum, Hillary Clinton is a major hypocrite. She sees nothing wrong with the government spying on you or me or even the leaders of Germany and Brazil, but she doesn't want us to see what she's up to. Oh and the only reason we know about the extent of the spying is because of Edward Snowden, a person Hillary thinks should go to prison.

So to recap, you're on the verge of electing a woman who wants to spy on you, won't let you see what she's up to, and wants to imprison the guy who showed you that the government is spying on you.

Because they envy an iron fist liar. They hold up people like Che, Mao, Stalin and Lenin as role models. They are longing to be ruled by a Totalitarian govt. like the useful idiots they are. They want a government that will FORCE their agenda on the rest since their ideas suck so bad and nobody really wants them, they MUST be forced.

Why were conservatives not concerned about up to 22,000,000 bush deleted emails?

Your logic doesnt make sense.

If she had used both a public email and a separate email on a private server then all the info you are looking for would still be on the private server and you still wouldnt have access to it.

The truth of the matter is, you are simply assuming she is hiding something because you wouldnt be making this argument if you assumed she was telling the truth.

further more, if you believe the government is spying on everyone, then they are spying on her too.

You can probably create your own thread on the lies of the Right, and there are a few. This thread is about Hillary's lies, and they are many.

"Why is the Left Not Bothered By Hillary's Email Server?"
Nature of the beast. Ignore the lies perpetuated by your tribe, and embellish the lies of your opponent.

The Sane Center here.

Folks on the left tend to be the ones who are blasting the surveillance society that we have become. Folks on the right tend to see it in national security terms as watching for those out to do us harm.

The right tends to see government regulation, even necessary regulation, as dictatorial and vastly overstates its bounds as communistic, socialistic, or fascist -- sometimes in the same sentence.

A lot of us Center folks look at Hillary's email server as blundering idiocy that she should have forseen as a problem down the road, and a lousy way to manage communications within the State Department, but not as any great conspiracy to hide whatever from whoever. That just doesn't work those days.

So we would prefer not to have HRC as President. She is a lousy manager and a poor leader. But then we look at the clown car in despair and realize that we will be better off with Hillary than anyone else currently running with an actual shot of winning.

How is this relevant? Just because conservatives are guilty of doing something doesn't absolve liberals when they do it too.

My logic makes perfect sense. You can't claim to have a problem with the government spying on you and then turn around and say it's OK for the government to conceal things from you. As for Hillary's server, show me where I said she should've used both a public and private email on her private server. If you or I went to work for the government, we would be issued a .gov email address. If we got caught sending government-owned information using our personal email address instead of our work email, we'd be fired on the spot. It's funny how you accuse me of assuming that Hillary is hiding something. Why do you give her the benefit of the doubt? Why don't we all just use our personal emails from now. Let's do away with The Freedom of Information Act so that the public can never know what its elected officials are doing. Is that your position?

Btw, the government can't spy on Hillary if they're not even aware of her email address. The reason they can spy on you and me is because they contact tech companies like Google and Yahoo and get access.

Bush is not in politics and hasn't been for seven years of horrible rule by the corrupt democrats.
Would it be OK with you if someone killed your family because someone else once got away with murder?
If Bush did do something similar, and I doubt that he did, that makes it OK for the witch to not be punished because it has been done before? Amazing logic, you must be a democrat..

No...the question was why are the left not bothered by Hillary's email server. No where in the title did it mention anything about lies. Now, as I self-identify with the left, I answered the question with an example of the left not being overly bothered by a repub doing something even worse. Except in the case of my example, bush actually could have been charged with a violation of a law (Presidential Records Act of 1978). If Hillary broke a law, could you be so kind as to link said law?

Until Hillary's emails start showing up on wikileaks I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.
So far nothing has been exposed.

Can't say the same for the Director of the CIA who used a frigging AOL account.
All his stuff is up on wikileaks now for the world to see. And he talked about torture, wars and even harvesting the poppy plants in Afghanistan !!!
I always wondered why they had our troops guarding the poppy fields and not fighting the war .....
