That's an old story, she ran for Congress last year and got her butt handed to her in the Primary by incumbent Pete Sessions. Seriously, it was a landslide defeat. Trump, who claims to hate "losers", picked the biggest loser of all when he chose her for his spokesperson.
I live adjoining district to the one she ran in and your assessment of her is correct. She was considered a joke candidate, no one took her seriously.

Here in red state Texas, she's widely considered a flake and a loser.
I'm in TX, and that is NOT true. It's pretty much common knowledge that Sessions is a longtime incumbent and an establishment republican with plenty of access to GOP donors. He had a 1.5 million dollar war chest and Pierson had less than $2,000. She never had the money to compete with Sessions.
Those who follow the news surely know Katrina Pierson. She was just hired by the Trump campaign. She is unflappable. Great choice. Shows Trump can spot talent. Watch how she slaps down the hideously looking so called “Republican” Muslim.
Anyone who has to wrap herself in a flag like that is an impostor. Like they say, if you have to say you are honest you probably aren't. Besides, that flag represents values that goes against everything she believes in.
She's the worst Trump surrogate I have seen so far and I have seen a lot.
I don't think she is cut for this surrogate stuff. Too dumb to debate. The other surrogates know when to shut up or change the subject when they are being baited with difficult questions.
She needs to find a new career. The others are doing fine in my opinion Kayleigh McEnany, Scottie Nell Hughes and Jefferey Lord. Sure I don't agree with the crap they say but I think they do their job well.
