Since you insist, I'll amend my initial observation to acknowledge there are indeed a few 'highly impressionable' voters out there who actually believe it.
There is already a wall. Trump wants to expand it.
There is a mandate to build a 700 mile wall. It is the law. Bush and Obama managed to complete 30 miles. So much of what Trump wants to build is already on the books.
The Canadian border is not a problem. Canada doesn't have the same security issues, corruption issues, or illegal immigration problems that Mexico has.
The U.S. is getting Syrian refugees as well, so no, a "Canadian border wall" won't "keep Syrians out".
The existing wallless-but-not-quite-open border is fine. No need to waste billions on a border wall with a developed country without an illegal immigration or security problem.
We've never been to the Great Wall of China, have you. Google it. It was built through mountains worse than the Rocky Mountains and without modern technological to help.

I guess we shoulda taken that attitude instead of welcoming thousands of Americans running out of gas in their planes headed for the U.S.; all deemed to big a threat for "Mr Toughy" to accept.
It's been proven that a great number of illegal immigrants can come through the northern border, but Trump is mostly concerned by "the little brown people from Mexico" because they take jobs.
One can actually walk across the CanAm border unattested whenever he/she pleases. But no one cares about that - they're just concerned about the Hispanic rapists, thieves, and murderers - all evil Hispanics (according to Trump).
I'm sure Trump will boast to the Trumpkins that he'll get the Canadians to pay for the wall as well.
How many Canadians are taking American jobs? How many of them are here illegally compared to Mexicans? Why the reference to their skin color and stature? Pulling the race card are you? Trump is concerned about the majority coming here whom are Mexicans and the number of them that are rapists, etc. He never said that all Hispanics are evil. Have you ever told the truth in your entire life?
