the republicans know if the candidate has NO clue how to navigate the ever changing global scene- we will all die before our time. NOT a good idea to get a person with a big "EGO"

Some of you are missing the point . . . it is not a Presidential campaign, it's a promotional tour for his books and speaking gigs. He cannot possibly think that Americans would actually put him in the White House. He ain't dumb.

Let's just say politics and statesmanship are not his core competencies. As such, he might be a great neurosurgeon, but he is a horrible candidate. All of us know one or two absolutely brilliant, accomplished people who have zero common sense. It's like that.

What kind of surgeon does not believe in the Evolution?

Mick

Dr. Ben Carson: Why Not?

After hearing him claim the ACA was worse for this country than things like the Civil War, WW I, WW II, the Korean War, Vietnam, etc., I think the question should really be : WHY?

One could argue that Trump has some crazy ideas, too, but look at him go! Until yesterday, anyway...

Actually, there are quite a few creationist MDs.

They will have been exposed to evolution in their foundational undergrad biology classes, and will have had to regurgitate it back to pass. After that, as long as they can gloss over why the flu vaccine or antibiotic that worked last year won't necessarily work next year, understanding evolution is not at all necessary to be a competent MD.

For personal compatibility reasons, I'd avoid a doc like that. But that's just me.

It's somewhat comforting to think that the Carson parade is a pretty small one.

Some of us don't find creation and evolution to be mutually exclusive; the Biblical "days" need not be taken literally. I applaud his conservative views, but I guess it's just me...
