Ok, it sounds funny. But some day it could happen. I was thinking and realized I have a couple friends who would like to be Evangelical Christians, if it weren't for them being gay. So some day there will probably be talk about getting the Evangelical gay vote...lol.

And I realized I know 2 more.

Note that not all evangelical churches shun gays: Where Christian churches, other religions stand on gay marriage | Pew Research Center

People should not fall into the behavior of Ted Cruz being that of an evangelical. He has simply targeted them as a large voting demographic that he wants to get his hands on.

Most people want separation of church and state so we don't end up like the Muslim countries where we use Old Testament punishments for sins which are the laws of the land.

My ancestors came to the US for religious freedom. The freedom to practice any religion that they wanted or to practice no religion at all.

So based on that article, which evangelical denomination/s sanction same-sex marriage? I think that's what you are saying.

Good post, I read the title and thought, well that's about 15-18 people in a country of what 300 million?

Never happen. The problem is religion condems homosexuality. They contradict each other.
