Rather than just believing deceitful people like Trump and Rubio people might want to inform themselves and make up their minds afterwards. Its easy for Trump to repeatedly keep shouting LIAR! LIAR! LIAR!, and for others to fall in line like lemmings. Would be nice if fans of Trump would use their brains for a change.
The Cruz campaign has become known for dirty underhanded tricks and outright slander. Cruz just fired his Rick Tyler - his communication director for the latest debacle - but is it too little too late? It's hard to believe Tyler was acting on his own while Cruz remained totally unaware of all the tricks and lies.

It doesn't matter whether he's telling the truth or not. His image of lying cheat has been firmly established and the question is whether or not Cruz can shake it.
The media and his rivals have a role in it, no doubt, but Cruz himself is well despised by a lot of people - some who know him personally - so it doesn't take much for regular folks to believe that he's a lying cheat. This is not the first time the media - backed by big money donors with an agenda - assassinated a politician's character. Look at John Kerry's failed presidential bid.
I personally think both Trump and Cruz are great dividers who have no business running for the WH. Of the two though, Cruz is more extreme in his unwillingness to compromise. Some people like him exactly because of that, forgetting the fact that being a stick in the mud won't accomplish much, if anything.
You have to remember, Cruz is essentially principled as much as it gets him to what he wants. His end goal is the Presidency and the greater good of Ted Cruz. Whatever it takes for him to get to that, he is prepared and willing to do.
Now, the question we have to ask, is that the kind of person we want having that kind of power?

Cruz is interested in Cruz, not the presidency and sure as hell not public service. He's no dummy. He knows he doesn't stand a chance at seeing the inside of the White House as anything other than a visitor. But his failing campaign is giving him lots of nationwide face time and getting him plenty of name recognition.
My prediction is that he wants to be the next Pat Buchanan.
A phony presidential campaign and then a big fat position at a conservative "think tank" and lots of well-paid appearances on TV and hate radio as a "conservative pundit." Ol' Pat had a good thing going until his fervent antisemitism made him radioactive. He was ready for retirement, anyway.
If he plays his cards right, Rafael Cruz could milk a position like that for decades. After all, he's relatively young compared to most saggy gray professional Republicans.
Cruz doesn't want the hassle of public office. The senate and now his prez campaign are just steps on the way to big bucks as a right wing talking head. A lot less work and a whole lot more money.
Ted Cruz isn’t running a dirty campaign, but that perception just cost a staffer his job
First, his opponents are more than willing to make a big deal out of these not-very-big issues because it serves their own political goals to do so. Trump plays them up because he wants people to think that maybe he won Iowa, which he didn't. Carson plays them up because he wants people to think that he's actually a good candidate, which he isn't.

There are a few states left like Iowa who will ignore his lying because he holds up a bible and/or talks about Jesus. That's all he need to do to get those voters.
I'm shocked he didn't win SC, which I think is a red flag of things to come.
Though he's campaigning with Glenn Beck... which should help him wi.... lol I can't finish that.
