Where is the video of this conversation, because the transcript clearly notates that they were talking over each other. That's what -- means. It looks like to me that Trump was talking about how he doesn't know David Duke, doesn't know all the groups that have endorsed him, but if Tapper wanted to give him a list of those groups, he would research them, and Trapper was talking while Trump was talking.
For those who don't know transcription, -- does not mean a pause, it means the conversation is overlapping - both people are talking at the same time.
Mr. Trump must know that these groups hate the Jews. . . . such as his daughter Ivanka (converted), his son-in-law, and his three grandchildren . . . .
In my opinion, the sneaky interviewer put him on the spot, I would have said the same thing if I were Trump, perhaps a little but more confrontational. The interview had a hidden agenda.
I would have said, "Why do you ask ME to denounce it in public? do you think I have something to do with the KKK or David Duke?"
How was it a sneaky question?? It was about as easy of a siftball lob question as possible and he REFUSED to denounce Duke or the KKK. Questions don't get any easier than that.
Like I said. I think he'll say anything (or avoid saying anything) to win. He has already totally changed his position on a number of key issues over the years. Not unlike Hillary.
Are you sure Tapper wasn't stunned because Trump didn't know who David Dukes is? He said he had to research him because he didn't think he ever met him. I would not trust the media telling me until I checked it out myself. I watched the whole interview when it aired. It was a better interview than the one done by Chris Wallace today who snidely managed to tick off every single candidate he interviewed. Cruz was so angry that when the interview ended he didn't even acknowledge Wallace's thank you.

because he put Trump on the spot and implied that he had something to do with the KKK or David Duke. Of course Trump is going to say, "I have no ideas that David Duke endorsed me." Any answers he gave, would be a wrong answer.
Do you think the interviewer would have asked HIllary Clinton or Bernie Sanders the same questions? Why or why not?
