GOP Money Men have apparently commissioned work to research running a candidate as 3rd party if Trump looks like he will be nominated. Could this possibly be Marco Rubio? Seems to me Rubio is the one the establishment wants.

No I think Trump should run as the third party candidate. What's stopping him?

No they don't. 65-70% of GOP voters have voted against him. We are headed straight towards a brokered convention or someone like a Rubio going Independent. Trump loses either way

In my immediate family, the two registered Republicans will not vote for Trump, not yet anyway. My brother will vote for Hilary, he wants his daughter to have a chance of reaching for the top job. Otherwise he would vote for Rubio. I'm supporting Rubio. It's the lifelong Democrat like my sister and the independent like my husband who are exciting about Trump.

You are missing the math again. That 65-70% is not for just one other candidate and Super Tuesday, well, just stay away from that one because I think you will be devastated at the outcome.

Cruz and Rubio have faded since NV. The other candidates faded even before that. Trump is the man!

If the GOP elites set this up, it would be solely to prevent Trump from being president. Essentially, they'd be conceding the election to the Democrat.

Broken though it may be, we have a 2-party system! Why is that so difficult for people to understand? The stupidest thing for the Republican, Democrats or candidate is a spin-off 3rd party candidate with no chance of winning.

All a third party candidate does is siphon votes away from the party the individual would otherwise vote for ... and give them to the opposite party (ie; Ross Perot). Some people think they are making a 'statement' by voting for a 3rd party candidate or 'none of the above'. The only statement they are really making is, "I do not understand how the system works, so I will simply waste my vote."

Or they refuse to be locked into an abusive political system which is deeply undemocratic.
